Five Stones Institute offers education sessions and other support in the balanced care of mind, body and spirit with an emphasis on stress management through Mindfulness.
Mindfulness is the practice of focusing attention purposely on the present moment – and accepting it without judgment. Research has proven its effectiveness in health and wellness. It is a great antidote to stress and has been shown to improve physical and emotional symptoms such as high blood pressure, chronic pain, insomnia, depression and anxiety. Mindfulness also leads to contentedness – being at peace with what is.
The Institute’s signature event is the Mindfulness Day Retreat. Held quarterly in keeping with the four seasons, this day retreat teaches transformational tools for Mindfulness in everyday life with practices such as meditation, mindful movement and eating, guided imagery and breath awareness. Participants leave ready to incorporate Mindfulness into their own lives.
In addition to the Mindfulness Day Retreats, Five Stones Institute’s regular offerings are organized in three key areas:

The Institute also offers education sessions focused on particular conditions such as Lyme disease, cancer recovery and remission and thyroid conditions.
